How a business car subscription works
A car subscription is the most flexible way to put a business driver on the road without the commitment of a traditional lease. You choose a vehicle from our live availability, agree a monthly rate, and drive away — usually within days rather than weeks.
Unlike a personal contract hire agreement, a subscription is not tied to a fixed multi-year term. You can extend month to month for as long as you need the vehicle, up to a maximum age of 3 years, and hand it back with 5 working days’ notice once you no longer need it (subject to vehicle availability and any seasonal blackout periods).
What’s included in the monthly price
You are responsible for fully comprehensive motor insurance and fuel or electricity — everything else is built into the monthly rate, so there are no surprise bills for servicing or a stone-chipped windscreen wiper.
- —Vehicle rental
- —Routine maintenance and servicing
- —Road fund licence (road tax)
- —Manufacturer warranty
- —24-hour manufacturer breakdown assistance
Who uses car subscriptions
Subscriptions suit businesses that need to react quickly: covering a new starter’s probation period, running a short project team, replacing a car that’s off the road, or trialling an electric vehicle before committing to a longer lease. Because there is no long fixed term, a subscription carries less risk than a 2–4 year lease if your headcount or fleet needs change.
